Music and the planet....

Cadenza in collaboration with Fritjof Capra and imagery by nature and climate change photographers will present A Song for Our Planet - a kaleidoscope of our changing climate and ecosystems.

The scope of this scientific and artistic performance is to investigate the relationships and systems that constitute the web of life by looking at their scientific, historical, cultural, economic, and spiritual interplay. The presentation will open an opportunity to discover through science, music, video and photo imagery the current state of affairs regarding climate change, our spiritual responsibility as a species, and some of the choices we face.

A talk by eminent physicist and systems theorist Fritjof Capra will be choreographed, laced and punctuated with music, videos and photographs to illustrate the topic. The marriage of science and art allows for audience members to be immersed in the subject matter on many levels - intellectually, artistically and spiritually.

Fritjof Capra, Ph.D., is the author of several bestselling books, including The Tao of Physics and The Web of Life. He is coauthor of The Systems View of Life, a volume in which he integrates the biological, cognitive, social, and ecological dimensions of life into a single coherent framework and discusses the philosophical, spiritual, social and political implications of this unifying vision. "A Song for our Planet" presents and frames Capra's work with music and visual components.
